Henry Vilas ZooHenry Vilas Zoo is an accredited AZA zoo located on 28 acres in Madison, Wisconsin with over half a million visitors every year. The Zoo is owned by the city of Madison and entry and parking to the zoo is free. It is home to primates like orangutans, white handed gibbons, golden lion tamarins, and colobus monkeys. Other animals include grizzly bears, camels, lions, giraffes, bison, goats, kangaroos, tigers, wallabies and seals.
Hours -Grounds: 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily, all year-round
Buildings: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
